Research Interests:

My research focuses on the genomic basis of domestication and diversification through somatic mutations in fruit crops, particularly in sweet oranges. Currently, I am applying the Buckler Lab  research in maize and cassava to citrus genomes to identify the deleterious mutations, and as well in Malvidae species. I am also interested in the somatically spontaneous mutations in sweet orange by compare the genomes of wild type and somatic mutants.
