Research Interests:

I’m interested in researching deleterious mutations and how they affect plant fitness.  My current research is focused on predicting deleterious mutations in the potato and tracking its evolution in the Solanaceae family.

Prior to coming to the Buckler lab, I worked on genome, transcriptome, and metabolome research. I am especially interested in combining multi-omics data to predict how genes affect phenotypes. In my previous project, I identified lincRNAs and the loci controlling their expression. I also predicted the biology pathway they were involved in.
